Extraordinary Japanese Fukagawa white porcelain plate decorated with a long tailed bird on a branch with red fruits and a gilt border. It is signed on the front with red Japanese characters and has a blue "Fuka gawa sei" (Made by Fukagawa) trade mark of Mount Fuji and a stream in use around 1892. Because of its quality, Fukagawa has been porcelain purveyor for the Japanese Imperial Household since 1910. In very good condition as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
Measurements: 10.25" (26 cm) diameter approximately.
