This is a good, clean, and sharp 1.7" diameter, double spur auger bit for your heavy duty brace. It appears to have had very little or no use over the years, as the double cutting edges, spurs, and spirals are all in very nice shape, no rust, good thread lead screw, a few minor dings on the spiral section, very sharp, ready to cut. The shank is marked "THE JAMES SWAN CO. SEYMOUR CT. U.S.A." and has the swimming swan logo on it as well. This auger is 11.7" long overall. Appears to be new old stock! Nice larger size!
