James Alphege Brewer (fl.1909-1938), Canterbury Cathedral . Original Etching , signed and titled in pencil. Limited to 300 impressions The biography of J. Alphege Brewer has yet to be written and details are sketchy. He was the son of the artist H. W. Brewer and his brother H. C. Brewer also painted. Alphege was born around 1882 in Great Britain but moved to Paris, where he lived most of his professional career. He was especially successful drawing architectural views of the great cathedrals of France. This original etching is typical of BrewerÂ’s work. It was purchased as a print in Europe and then professionally framed in Omaha Nebraska. There appears to be a little water damage on the back bottom but it DID NOT go thru to the front.  Purchase this ORIGINAL ETCHING today at a DEEPLY DISCOUNTED price  Frame 19.25" X 25" etching 13" X 18"
