Offered for sale is a delightfully playful Six Dynasties (220 - 589 AD) nephrite jade carving of a mythical beast. This pale green jade carving, with some mineral coloration throughout, is exceptionally well done. It has a very detailed face and such highlights as carved toes on all its paws. Weighing 1 oz, this diminutive carving measures 1" H x 1.25" W x 1.75" D. This jade carving is wonderfully detailed and will make a valued addition to any jade collection.
