Offered for sale is a delightfully carved Shang Dynasty kneeling man. The nephrite jade used to carve this figure varies in color from the pleasing green of his head and shoulders to the rich brown of his lower body to his feet. Held on his cord by a brown bead below and a coral and small red bead above, this man is beautifully carved throughout. He dates to the Shang Dynasty (1600 - 1100 BC). He measures 2 1/4" High by 1" Wide and 1" Deep, and he weighs 71 grams (2.5 ounces).
