This is an Indiana Colony American Whitehall Pattern covered bon bon or candy dish in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It is in a blue green color and does have slight roughness on the inside of a few of the points, nothing visable, just felt with fingernail as well as a small rough spot on one of the cube points on the exterior of the bottom. This is an interresting color and I'm not sure what the name is, but it sometimes looks blue, but then again, in certain lighting it looks green..so I'll just say it's blue green, even though I do believe it's blue since it's blue when brought outside into the sunlight. Measures almost 5.5" across the base and a little over 5" tall to the top of the finial. Whether you collect Fostoria American which this was made from one of their original molds or American Whitehall, this is a wonderful piece to add to your collection to give it a nice additional color! Would also be nice on your vanity as a powder box!
