From the collection of a retired diplomat we offer an incredible bronze ormulu box with appended cloisoné plaques dating from the period of Alexander II 1860-1870.
This box stands on 4 decorative legs, and is decorated as well with angel heads, one standing at each corner as well as others decorating the top.
Applied in a number of places to the front, sides, and rear of the casket are cloisoné plaques with decorative flowers and designs. The main colour of the background is a pale blue. This box/casket is one of the finest we have had the opportunity to handle. It measures 8 1/4 inches long (20.625 cm) , 7 inches deep(17.5cm) and stands 6 inches high (15 cm). The condition is very, very good with no damages.
Canadian purchasers are required to pay GST, and those in Ontario the HST. We accept bank transfer. Although we provide rates from Canada Post, the insurance coverage in case of loss or damage in the post is limited.
We would recommend that the prospective purchaser consider shipping through Integrity Movers in Ottawa which will provide professional packing and shipping and insurance for full value.
