Illinois Model 2 H.D. & C.H. Lockwood, Joliet, Illinois1897. Rare. Original porcelain double sunken dial and movement both marked the same: H.D. & C.H. Lockwood, Joliet, Ill.. High grade movement. Unknown Jeweler in Joliet, Illinois. Superb original condition, also featuring all 14k rose gold screw down jewel settings. This is a rare variation of the Illinois Watch Co. and is quite impressive! Clean, running and still very accurate. THIS IS A FINE COLLECTIBLE. DON'T INVEST IN THE STOCK MARKET. BUY SOMETHING PROVEN IN TIME.
DIAL: White porcelain double sunken with bold Arabic figures and original fancy black factory hands. Signed in the Illinois Logo Gothic script: Lockwood. Short hairline at 12 edge, otherwise mint, original and impressive. MOVEMENT: 18 size, hunting model, full plate nickel, all 14k rose gold SDJS, Chalmers patent Regulator, ADJUSTED on the balance bridge, signed; H.D. & C.H. Lockwood, Joliet, Ill., #1,282,857. Remarkable, bright color contrast and pristine condition.
