Hungarian PERLMUTTER Peasant Painting
This lovely oil painting on board is by Imre PERLMUTTER (1892-?). Board measures 4.5" by 6" and frame measures 8" by 10". Depicted is a peasant woman placing reaching toward a large ceramic jug that's resting upon a wooden fence or structure of some kind. This is an excellent small painting on wooden board, and one of three paintings by Perlmutter that we currently have for sale. The rear carries the stamp of Magyar Nemzeti Galeria, the Hungarian National Gallery, indicating the piece was authenticated and approved for export according to Hungarian law.
