Hungarian Gentleman Portrait Oil Painting by Almády

This fine Hungarian oil on canvas is signed " Almády " in the lower right corner, and depicts an elderly gentleman peeling a green apple. Canvas measures 20 x 24 inches and frame measures 25 3/8 x 29 x 2 inches. We haven't yet identified the artist, but suspect the work dates from the early to mid 20th century. Exceptional gold-leaf frame.
