Announcing the joys of Christmas, the lovely angel depicted on this Christmas Plate is based upon one of Sister Berta Hummel's previously unpublished works. She created it in 1930 as a gift for her family before entering the convent. Many collect Hummel plates, specifically, but this plate would also make a nice addition to a collection of angels, Christmas plates, or would be beautiful as a stand-alone among other Christmas items. Also included is a brochure which came with the plate. It describes all the 1977 limited editions which portray Sister Berta Hummel's work. The plate is in excellent condition in its original box.
