The National Cathedral on the Zocalo, Mexico City. Titled and signed in pencil on mount recto. Hugo Brehme (German 1882-1954) was a landscape and architectural photographer, active in Mexico. Stylistically a pictorialist, Brehme moved to Mexico in 1905 to produce travel photography. His main interest was the country's natural beauty and architectural heritage. Many of his pictures were published as postcards, which today are highly prized.
