Huge tin by E. Otto Schmidt, Legkuchen und,Honig, 1984 W. Germany is the words on the bottom. The pictures are Groffe Marcht in Hurnberg, with various market scenes. There is lots of intricate patterns and litho work, and colors mostly red and gold. Very nice large tin. There is one scratch that I see in the front that really doesn't show unless you angle it just so and one corner of the lid doesnt come together as tightly as I believe it should but appears original to manufacture. Remember, these old tins have many sharp points and should be handled with care. This is a fine example made in 1984, but made in the style of the pre 1900 tins they made, probably a commemorative edition. There is some glue on the inside lid that probably held the name of the candy or cookie that was inside, but the owner had taken it off. 16 1/2 x 12 x 6 1/2"" deep. This will require $6.00 postage if in the USA to ship
