Horse Bridle Bit Iron Double Split Twist Snaffle

$75.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a rarely seen, 1870's-1890's era horse bridle bit with a double split twist mouth piece, with two 3" diameter outer rings that are formed with one flat area on each to the same size as the combined width of the 2 snaffle sections. This is a all hand forged bit, and is very clean, and could actually be used. There is some evidence of past rust pitting, but is not rusty now. An antique worthy of being displayed in public! Most unusual! We have seen none like it to date! We have several bridal bits from the 19th century for sale. A most interesting collection!
