This is a souvenir horse brass or pub brass commemorating Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1897. This horse brass, however is definitely a 1970's copy done for Queen Elizabeth II's silver Jubilee in 1977. I brought it back from England then. It measures 3.5 inches high. Horse brasses were developed in the 17th century to decorate and identify draft horses and are very collectible. In England you see them decorating the beams in pubs or hung by the fireplace in homes.
