Peter Turner's "History of Photography" traces the development of the camera from the daguerreotype to the computer-generated image. Profusely illustrated in black & white as well as color, its 224 pages contains images made by Matthew Barady, Timothy O'Sullivan, Julia Margaret Cameron, Diane Arbus, Cecil Beaton, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Ansel Adams, David Bailey and many, many more. A very fine copy with glossy dustjacket, there are no missing pages or rips. Nice tight binding. Corners of dj are wrinkled and the bottom right corner on the back has a small tear. Published in 1987 by Exter Books, New York (A Bison Book.)
