Staebel Antiques in Houston, Texas offers this high back piano stool / chair made about 1910. This chair is made of solid maple and shaded a nice red brown mahogany. The back is very sturdy and is made up of 7 turned spindles to give the chair a great look. All spindles are tight. The 14 inch diameter seat swivels and adjusts in height...the steel swivel mechanism is tight and works smoothly. The legs are ornately turned with many spool highlights from top to bottom. The feet are clawfoot cast iron with a glass ball. The chair is very well made and is in excellent condition.
