Herring Bros. Bent Front Parting Carving Chisel 1/4 inch

$38.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a unique shaped carving chisel that is 1/8" wide at the cutting edge, and has the V-shaped, with a small radius at the bottom of the V shape, bent front, parting chisel design. This one is marked "HERRING BROS. LONDON PRIZE METALS 31" on the steel. The mark is slightly blurred but readable. We believe this to be an English toolmaker during the late 1800's to early 1900's era. It is 9.0" long overall, sharp, ready to use condition, no rust or pitting, and and has the English style 8 sided hardwood handle, in good solid, good brass ferrule, nice looking condition. A very hard to find style in great shape overall!
