Hedi Schoop Mauve Swirl Planter

Unavailable
Hedi Schoop was one of the very talented creators of figural pottery that worked in California during the 1930's through 1958. This is a planter, perhaps a TV-style planter, that is a great example of her creativity. The cream and mauve swirl pattern on the outside of the planter are so smooth, both to the feel and to the eye. The feet and rim have an incised design that complements the swirl pattern. The inside of the planter is pink, which adds interest to the presentation. This is a piece that deserves display rather than dirt and a plant.
