This is a nice quality 53/64" (.83") wide socket firmer chisel marked in very small lettering on the steel, "HART MFG CO.". Hart Mfg Co. is one of the companies that Peck, Stow & Wilcox Co. bought out back in the 1800's. This chisel has a good solid leather capped hardwood handle that fits the socket very well. The chisel is 11.2" long overall, 7.6" long cutting edge to end of socket. This chisel is made of quality cast steel, is very sharp, ready to use, not rusty, some minor wear like a few small areas, very minor pitting on the outside socket area, but clean around the cutting edge area. A rarely seen tool maker's name, Hart Mfg.!
