Pair of old lacquered papier mache trays, handpainted in black with gold, copper, and silver stylized floral designs and edged in gold. The metallic sheen of the paint gives these pieces much depth. The shabby round trays measure approximately 3/4 inch high and 9 7/8 inches in diameter; they each weigh about 1/3 pound. The trays are in primitive, shabby condition, with paint and finish loss; painted designs are essentially intact. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition.
