Hand Woven Area Rug or Wall Hanging from Guatemala . It is 36" x 66" including the fringe. It is the Mayan Serpent design of the color scheme that was in vogue in the 80's. I purchased this rug on one of early trips to Guatemala in the early 80's and only used it for a short time as a wall hanging. It never has been on the floor. The weave is tight the colors bright.. It is either wool or a cotton wool blend. I am fairly certain that you'll never find another rug like this anywhere.
