Hand Jeweled carnelian etruscan Antique hinged box
WHat a gorgeous old piece with genuine carnelian and so much detailed metal work that you will be in awe when you see it. Every stone is hand and bezel set and every piece of metal wire is hand set as well. This box measures 4" x 3 1/2" and is 1 1/2" tall. All sides except for the bottom are made with filigree and it is made of hand hammered brass. THis is an extremely old piece that has sustained the years well with a working hinge and tight clasp. This has a dome shaped lid and flat sides. I hope this old beauty will find a good home where all this beautiful workmanship can be admired and appreciated because it is a fabulous old box!
