Plantation Slave Shoe Hand Carved VERY RARE Shoe was uncovered in a slave cabin on an old plantation in Eastern Virginia. Shoe was purchased from a Virginia Civil War Museum in 1990. Base part of shoe is made of hand carved wood. Top part of shoe is made of leather and was attached to bottom with cut nails (top has come detached but is complete). Shoe measures approximately 11" long.
