This is a wonderful hallmarked English sterling silver medal or pocket watch fob weighing 5.1 pennyweight. The medal watch chain ornament is hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1952 SS Ltd., and was awarded to Reginald Channing 5.10.52. The molded medal says Amateur Ballroom Medalists and in enamel I.D.M.A. The medal is in excellent condition with normal wear. A neat piece of nostalgia and history and are now experiencing a revival as fashion jewelry! Fob necklaces were featured in Victoria and Country Living magazines in January 2008.
