Hall China / Forman Bros. Art Deco Tidbit Tray

Unavailable
Antique Art Deco tidbit tray, designed and sold by Forman Bros. of Brooklyn, New York, with inset plate produced by Hall China, circa 1920's. The unmarked 9 inch china plate features a strong Art Deco geometric design in red, blue, yellow, gray, and purple on an iridescent white background. The lacquered and pierced metal holder, perhaps nickel or aluminum, has a fold-down handle with piercings and an incised floral design. The base of the metal holder features 8 identical pierced and incised designs. On the back of the metal base is a small incised hallmark: "FORMAN BROS INC, BROOKLYN, N.Y." This unusual tidbit tray measures approximately 6 inches high with the handle up, and 11.5 inches in diameter. This piece is part of a series of pieces that were produced by Hall China for Forman Bros. It is in very good condition for its age, with no chips, cracks, or dents. The plate shows crazing and some surface wear and aging, and the metal holder shows light surface wear and aging. Please refer to the 4 photographs for appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging will be $12.50.
