I do believe this is a marrige of the old and the new(er). I think this is a vintage, circa 1930's, clip with a newer piece, possibly an odd earring glued to it. The backing on the beads is modern and still used today. The mechanisim it is glued to is vintage and in good working order. Even though it is not original or old, it is still lovely. The tiny blue brads have a sort of irridesent coating on them and the really sparkle. The larger round beads around the edge are mottled light and dark blue. It measures approx. 2"X1".
