This is a gorgeous genuine gold leaf carved parlor chair. This American Victorian chair was designed in the French rococo manner and is in excellent condition and dates to the 1890-1900 era. The gold is luminous and bright and has a great patina. A gorgeous chair like this may easily retail in a metropolitan antique store for 1500.00.
