This is a Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern done with hexagons but in an elongated pattern. Also known as Grandmotner's Garden Path. It is done in typical 1930's colors and calicos. Each hexagon is 1.5" in size with each block section measuring 12.5" x 18". It is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted with apx 10 stitches per inch. It has a cotton batting and the backing fabric is the same as the solid cream color used in the top hexagons. It is in excellent condition with no stains, wear or fading. An excellent example of a 1930's Flower Garden quilt.
