A wonderful Grandmothers Flower Garden done in an elongated pattern. Each hexagon is 1.25" wide forming 6.5" x 11" elongated flowers separate by black borders. The fabrics are from the 1900's to the 1920's including some printed feedsack material. This has an earlier 1920 darker green instead of the more typical 1930 lighter shade of green that was used when this pattern was very popular in the 1930's. The black fabric used for the borders has 3 spots which are deteriorating. The worst spot is at one corner shown in picture #4. The sides of the quilt are scalloped following the flower pattern but the top and bottom have been squared off with half flowers to made straight edges. Otherwise it is in excellent condition with no stains or fading.
