This is a pair of antique English silver plate knife rests or knife holders made 1880-1900. This is a wonderful fancy design of tapering barley twist bars with triangular gothic cut out ends. The knife rests measure 3 inches long by 1.15 inches high and are in superb, excellent, mint condition with no plate loss. A great item of kitchenalia, victoriana as well as a wonderful way to keep your table cloth clean by supporting your knife. Thos clever victorians!
