Goodyear Biggest Airplane Tire Ever Built Ad 1945 This is a October 13, 1945 advertisement. It is a nice color ad from Goodyear Rubber and Tire Co of Akron. Ad shows a service man holding up a little hoop , the first practical airplane tire pioneered by Goodyear in 1909. Beside this little hoop is todays airplane tire which uses the new fabric, Nylon and contains more rubber than any other airplane tire ever built. Stands 9 feet 2 inches and weighs more than 1500 pounds. Interesting info. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
