Volume One of a line of souvenir booklets published by Pitkin's Gold Cord Souvenirs titled "Royalty Illustrated." Depicts in lavish black and white photographs and text the lives of Britain's Royal Family in the post-War years of 1949 and 1950. 24 pages, bound and tied with a golden fabric cord. Includes photographs by Cecil Beaton. Many pages have water damaged edges and there are several edge and spine tears, but if you are an Anglophile, you'll love browsing through these photographs of King George and Queen Elizabeth, the Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, and very early pictures of Prince Charles, along with his Royal cousins. Other British royalty featured include the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the popular Duchess of Kent. Many pictures as well of the French President and Mme Auriol. An interesting old souvenir booklet.
