Here is an instant relative handsomely displayed in an ornate Victorian gold frame. The gentleman sports a generous mustache and a pleasant expression. Notice how the recessed oval insert has 4 delicate applied decorations over a flat gold surface. The outside of the frame is extremely ornate, creating a complimentary contrast. The frame retains nearly half of the original gold gilt with the other half restored using gold touch up paint. There were areas requiring some highlighting and touch up. The frame is in very good condition with some minor loss, which is typical of such frames.
