Gleason's Battle Ships Bound Book 1859

Antique Gleason's Line-of-Battle Ships Volume1 Nos. 1-26 1859 Bound Mary A. Rose. These are the ORIGINAL prints for Gleason's Weekly "Line-Of-Battle Ships" from 1859. They were bound for Mary A. Rose. That name brings up an interesting question as to whether that was a person or a ship as the "Mary Rose" has been used as a British and US warship. I do not know if there was a merchant ship called the "Mary A Rose" Anyway, this book, whose spine binding is in poor condition, contains the first 26 weekly volumes of the paper. the paper has great lithographs and stories. The paper is 22" x 14". The first issue of this paper is mostly in museums and is impossible to find. The next couple are also very scarce with later issues in the $25 range. This is a chance to buy the first 26 issues in a complete set for one price. Number 1 has some rough edges, but is the complete 8 pages. After that there are are edge tears here and there and I saw 1-2 pages with abrasions. Overall the set is in above average condition and contact me if you need more photos.
