This is Gibbs toy #56 - The Yankee Dump Cart. It is in very good original condition with great color. The horse is paper lithograph over wood and metal painted legs. The cart is made of wood and tin with cast iron wheels. When the cart is pushed, it forces the legs of the horse to stride with a back and forth motion. There is a metal catch which releases and dumps the cart. It measures 19" long and 8" high to the top of the ear of the horse. Circa 1911. A wonderful piece.
