GERMAN Pink PIG - Mailing a Letter - SPILL Vase FAIRING Whimsy

Unavailable

The pink pig went to England and is mailing a letter home.

This ceramic fairing piece has the little pig holding a sealed letter he is about to pop into an Inland Postage "pillar box" mail box. How cute is that? It was made as a spill vase, but could be a flower vase or even a coin bank.

The glazing is typical of pink pig items. Brushed with green and accented with gilt.

The two letters at the top of the pillar box ER stand for Edward Rex and indicate it was made 1901-1910.

Measurements: 4-7/8 x 2 x 4-3/8 inches

Very Good-Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs found.
