A stunning example of German Biedermeier (c. 1845) panel cut, cobalt blue glass. This covered candy dish is gilded with black painted decorations, including geometric shapes, scrolls and bows. It has one very minor rim chip (beneath the gilding) as well as some wear to the gilding itself. A rare find!
