German American History book 1890-1910. When I purchased this book I was told it was given to German Imigrants to study American History. The book was copywrited in 1805 according to Act of Congress in the year 1805 by J R Jones in the office of the Librarian of Congeress for Henry Davenport Northrop. The book plate pictures have English words showing commodore Perry at the battle of Lake Erie, General Washington, The Landing of Roger Williams, Betsy Ross House and many more. I see the last story is on the Titanic even though I am unable to read it. The book is in fair condition. There is some staining, and the outside cover has the spine edge missing. It is still a unique book and a great edition for your collection. Title says Gefchichte ber Meuen Welr. See pictures for more detail. It is black with gold lettering even though the picture makes it look washed out. 7 1/2 x 10 1/2 Aprox 1060 pages.
