A fine quality Georgian Regency period dropdial wall clock. Choice flame mahogany veneers with brass inlays. A convex glass and dial signed 'Wm Knight, Wells'. A shaped plates fusee mechanism of 8-day duration. William Knight of Wells is recorded in A J Moores' 'The Clockmakers of Somerset' book as working in the High Street from 1822-1829.
