English Georgian period sterling silver chamberstick and cone shaped snuffer with gadrooned borders on a crystal base. Both the candle holder and snuffer are marked with the Lion Gardant (the English official mark that certifies Sterling silver), date marks "T" and "a" respectively (corresponding, if made in the city of London, to years 1814 and 1816 respectively) and worn city and different silversmith's marks. Crystal base has an unmarked silver border (content unknown). Apparent repair to bobeche and damage to crystal base partly concealed by top border. Shipped fully insured with tracking number. Measurements: Entire sterling and glass piece: 3.1" by 1.6" by 1.6" (8 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm); Glass base: 2.4" by 1.6" by 1.6" (6 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm)approximately. Item ID: 1954
