Georgian 10kt ROSE gold 6CT amethyst brooch

Unavailable

This 1800's 10KT rose gold brooch is a real treasure with all its original genuine pearls ( all 46 of them). The center stones is a 6CT faceted real Amethyst and around it are larger pearls ( again, all genuine) and the ones around that are the tiniest I have ever seen. Smaller than a pin head these are grey and ivory color. The photo makes them look like the metal around them has darkened but it is just the combination of colors of pearls. The brooch has a C clasp and the color is a rich red gold on the back as in the photos. The back is rounded outward. The whole brooch measures 7/8" x 3/4" and is 1/2" thick. Tiny metal bead work surrounds the tiny seed pearl s on the the outer edge. I can't even imagine the patience it would take to set these tiny pearls. The fact that this has survived over 200 years and still has all its pearls is amazing. The center stone is in very good condition too. What a wonderful old piece of jewelry history this is!!
