The Georgene Novelties company produced Brownie and Girl Scout dolls from the late 1940s through the 1950s. This near-mint all cloth Girl Scout doll comes complete with all parts of her Girl Scout uniform, including a pair of under shorts, the green Girl Scout dress with red neckerchief, tan socks, brown leatherette tie shoes AND her original green Girl Scout beret. Her blonde hair is full and curly with just a hint of muss in the back. Her painted blue eyes, with long painted eyelashes, single stroke eyebrows, rosy cheeks and red lips are all perfect. Her cloth body remains in great shape with no rips, stains or odors. She's amazingly clean, especially considering her age, with just the lightest surface soil on the front of her legs and back of her hands. She comes complete with her original paper hang tag identifying her as a Georgene doll. Hard to find in such immaculate condition, this would make a great addition to a Scouting or doll collection.
