George V English Sterling Silver Table Cigarette Box

This George V sterling silver table cigarette box with a solid top has a rectangular plain form. It has a hinged hallmarked faceted shaped lid which has engine turned decoration, a rectangular plain vacant cartouche and a gadroon border. The box is supported by four bracket feet to each corner. Reflections in photography may suggest an uneven colour but this is not the case. Made in Birmingham, England, by William Adams Ltd in 1934.
