Horse & carriage decal-decorated plate, marked "Amsterdam, Holland" below carriage. George Stubbs (1724-1806), an associate of Josiah Wedgwood,  was well known for his artistic renderings of horses.  Plate made in the early 1900's, and marked "Imperial" with no country of origin designation; has an "I" & "B" in the shield held by the unicorn (see mark). Measures 7.75" square.  Embossed rim, shows wear to the gold trim.  No chips or cracks.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
