George III Carved Mahogany Side Chair; very possibly Irish, the design for this chair was taken directly from Chippendales GENTLEMAN AND CABINETMAKERS DIRECTOR, plate number XIII, and features carved acanthus leaves, pronounced ears, a reticulated splat; over a needlepointed cover and raised on carved cabriole legs with a carved foot.
