This is a nice, new old stock, carbon steel burring/tapered reamer with spiral ground flutes, (1/4-1.5" size). This type has the tapered square end to fit in a standard two jaw hand brace chuck. Marked "GENERAL" on the square end. Quality tooling by a well known maker! Basically in very good condition, no wear or damage, no rust, very good condition. We do note that the tapered square shape does have an oversized chamfer on to sides, but this would seem to have happened in the forging process, and doesn't effect use in a standard bit brace.
