Gen Motors Writing New RR History Ad 1945 This is a July 21, 1945 advertisement. It is a great color ad from General Motors of LaGrange, Ill, Cleveland and Detroit. Picture is of the great moment in railroad history in September 1883 at Gold Creek, Montana when General U S Grant drove home a golden spike.. Great picture. History is still being made on the Northern Pacific as great trains of battle bound freight hurry westward in support of fighting forces. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 10 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall.
