A truly magnificent Galle Tray from the early 1890s. The tray is in excellent condition. The marquetry image of the village and the sea image is clear but in a couple of places the wood is slightly stained, and in two or three places there is very minor imperfection resulting probably from tea spilt onto the tray. However though slightly raised everything is there. The tray is also signed Galle. A rare and wonderful item.
