Fulton Tool Jointer Plane Corrugated No. 7 Size
This is a very good used jointer plane marked "FULTON" on the raised pad just behind the front knob. It also has another raised pad just behind the frog, marked "5270", that may be the part number, not sure. This jointer plane has the corrugated bottom, and at a glance appears to have the same proportions as the Stanley No. 7C from around the same period. Overall the plane is in very good condition with about 90% of it's original black Japanning intact. The front knob and rear tote are hardwood, both solid in very good shape, some minor wear, a dent on the top of the tote handle, no cracks, nice finish. The 2.375" wide cutter is sharp and about 95% intact in length, with very little wear, very clean all around and sharp, ready touse. The is no markings on the cutter at all. The bare metal on the plane has a slightly darkened patina, some very minor pitting and a few tiny edge dings, no rust or cracks. This model has no frog adjustment screw in it's design, much like the older Stanley planes from the same vintage years. Overall a very nice, hard to find plane, by a quality maker. As well made as the similar Stanley No. 7, but this Fulton has a 2-3/8" wide cutter.
